The Court of Appeals Miscellaneous Fee Schedule, promulgated by the Judicial Conference and authorized by 28 U.S.C. § 1913, sets appellate court fees and exemptions. Fees are paid to the clerk of the appellate or originating court at the time of the transaction.

The Electronic Public Access Fee Schedule sets the fees and exemptions for electronic access to court documents. Electronic access fees are managed by the PACER Service Center, which bills users quarterly for electronic access.

Payments

Acceptable forms of payment are cash (exact change only), credit cards, or checks made payable to "Clerk, U.S. Courts" — for all fees except those related to Attorney Admissions, which must be made electronically.

Effective December 1, 2023.

The FRC fees are subject to change in accordance with the Inter-Agency Agreement between the AO and the FRC.
