About this office
The Circuit Executive is appointed by the Fifth Circuit Judicial Council and performs a broad range of administrative tasks delegated by the Council. See 28 U.S.C. § 332(e). Some of these non-judicial duties relate to the Council or the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals while others involve circuit-wide coordination and management responsibilities. The Circuit Executive also provides close support to the Chief Circuit Judge on a variety of administrative matters
