Planned CM/ECF Outage

Fifth Circuit CM/ECF servers will be offline for service beginning at 7 p.m. Central Time Thursday, April 14 and all day Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16.  During this time, the public will be unable to file documents or access case related information through PACER.  Because this is a planned outage, the court has not set any deadlines on Friday, April 15 and urges all filers with Thursday deadlines to file before the planned outage. 

We cannot extend jurisdictional deadlines governed by Rules 4 and 26 of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and the time for filing an appeal in a civil case is mandatory and jurisdictional as well as the time for filing Petitions for Review. 

If a party’s filing is not covered by the deadline extension, the party should contact the emergency duty clerk for assistance in filing the matter by email.  The emergency duty clerk may be reached by calling 504-310-7700 and following the prompts.
