Court Closure

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will be closed Thursday, January 9, 2025, the day designated as a National Day of Mourning for former President Jimmy Carter.  The deadline for any pleading due on January 9, 2025, will automatically be extended to January 10, 2025, but the deadlines for the filing of a Notice of Appeal or a Petition for Review are not changed by the court closure, as those deadlines are jurisdictional.
