CM/ECF Possible Interruptions in Service

The court is experiencing sporadic outages of CM/ECF.  If a party’s deadline for filing is 11/4/2022, and the party is unable to file due to this outage, the court will extend the deadline until 11/7/22. This does not apply to cases previously designated for expedited briefing.  We remind parties and counsel that notices of appeal are governed by Rules 4 and 26 of the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and the time for filing an appeal in a civil case is mandatory and jurisdictional.  

If a party’s filing is not covered by the deadline extension, the party should contact the emergency duty clerk for assistance in filing the matter by email.  After 5:00 p.m., the emergency duty clerk may be reached by calling 504-310-7700 and following the prompts.
